About The Game
The Test is a psychological simulation game based around player choices and decisions. All of your actions are recorded and then compared to every other player who has completed the test. Doing nothing is always an option too.
Why I Created The Test
The Test is a personal project that I completed in my spare time. The idea behind the game is to gather an insight into what kind of player is playing the game. Each room has a different aspect of video game player stereotypes. For example, when choosing a difficulty, the player is warned that the game can be hard at higher options. In reality the difficulty doesn’t change anything in the game. I’m testing to see if players will pick higher or lower difficulties based on this warning. The whole game follows this theme.
If you would like to read an in depth explanation of the game and what ‘gamer’ stereotype each room is based on, you can check out a blog post I made summarising it here.
I’ve also uploaded the game to itch.io if you would like to play it. You can download it from my itch.io page here.
